Kohler V400 Diesel Generator – Overview

The Kohler V400 generator is a diesel-powered unit manufactured in France, providing emergency power of 390 kVA and continuous power of 355 kVA at a frequency of 50 Hz and a speed of 1500 rpm. The supplied voltage is 400 / 230V.

The generator is equipped with a 12.78-liter VOLVO engine, delivering a maximum power of 343 kW:

Alternator

Constructional Elements

The generator includes a 470-liter fuel tank, an electronic speed regulator, a preheating system for the cooling liquid (facilitating easy starts in cold seasons), a 12V starting system, a rectifier for charging the battery when the generator is not running, and vibration dampers placed between the chassis and the engine-alternator assembly.

The control panel is user-friendly, even for unskilled personnel, designed to provide extensive details about the generator’s operation. The controller incorporates numerous measurement instruments, signaling devices for faults and more, command keys, and indicators for various warning messages and correct operation of the entire assembly.

The soundproofing capacity of the enclosure is impressive, reducing noise levels to 77 dB at 1 meter and 67 dB at 7 meters.
