In 2026, B.T. Best Tools Company is contributing to the development of over 140 Voluntary Drop-off Centres — CAVs — across Romania, by supplying essential equipment for the proper collection, storage and management of waste.
In addition to the two large-scale CAV projects in Cluj-Napoca and Brașov, which we have already covered in previous articles, our team is involved in numerous local projects throughout the country. Each of these centres plays an important role in helping communities collect bulky, recyclable or special waste in an organised, safe and efficient way.
What are CAVs and why are they important?
Voluntary Drop-off Centres are dedicated spaces where citizens can bring different types of waste that should not be disposed of randomly or abandoned in public areas. These may include bulky waste, construction waste, electrical and electronic equipment, textiles, recyclable materials and other separately collected waste categories.
By providing a clear and accessible solution for waste collection, CAVs support better waste management at local level. They help reduce uncontrolled dumping, increase recycling rates and keep communities cleaner.
Complete equipment for efficient daily operation
For a Voluntary Drop-off Centre to operate properly every day, it needs more than a dedicated space. It needs durable, correctly sized equipment, adapted to the types of waste collected and to the operational flow of each centre.
For these projects, B.T. Best Tools Company supplies a complete range of solutions, including:
- compactors for efficient waste compaction and management;
- metal containers for collection, storage and transport;
- waste bins for separate collection;
- auxiliary equipment required for daily operation;
- technical solutions adapted to each centre and each community.
All equipment is selected to support safe, efficient and continuous use. In a CAV, every detail matters — from how waste flows are organised to container capacity and ease of use for operators.
Over 140 local projects, one clear direction
Our involvement in over 140 CAVs nationwide confirms the direction in which Romanian communities are moving: towards modern infrastructure, responsible collection and sustainable waste management solutions.
Each centre has its own requirements, depending on the size of the community, the types of waste collected and the way the site is operated. That is why our approach is not rigid or one-size-fits-all. We provide suitable equipment, technical support and solutions designed to help each centre function properly in the long term.
Robust solutions for local authorities and sanitation operators
Voluntary Drop-off Centres are an important step for local authorities that want to offer citizens better separate waste collection services. At the same time, they support sanitation operators through clear, organised and efficient infrastructure.
With equipment such as compactors, containers, waste bins and auxiliary systems, daily activity within these centres becomes easier to manage. Waste can be collected separately, stored safely and prepared for transport or recovery, depending on each centre’s operational flow.
A concrete step towards cleaner communities
For us, every equipped CAV means more than a completed project. It represents a real contribution to Romania’s environmental infrastructure and to the way communities manage waste responsibly.
We are glad to be part of this change and to deliver solutions that help these centres operate efficiently, day after day. With over 140 CAVs planned across Romania in 2026, B.T. Best Tools Company continues to support the development of cleaner, better organised communities, ready for the future.
