When power requirements are measured in megawatts, renting a generator is no longer simply about selecting a unit from a fleet. It becomes a project in its own right.

Recently, Best Tools mobilized over 4 MW of temporary power for a manufacturer in Ilfov, in a project that involved the installation and synchronization of several industrial generators from our rental fleet.

The objective was clear: to support the company’s critical processes and, during the 19:00–23:00 peak interval, enable it to significantly reduce or even temporarily eliminate the amount of electricity drawn from the grid. The project comes amid increased pressure on Romania’s power system, driven in part by severe drought and exceptionally low Danube levels, as well as recommendations from the Ministry of Energy for large industrial consumers to voluntarily reduce grid consumption during these hours wherever their technological processes allow.

Several generators. One integrated solution.

At this level of power, the solution is not simply a matter of placing several generators next to each other.

The units must be configured to operate in synchronization, while the entire system must be adapted to the factory’s consumers, load profile and existing electrical infrastructure.

The project required the rapid mobilization of equipment from the Best Tools rental generator fleet, together with the configuration needed for all units to operate as a single system.

The result is a temporary power plant exceeding 4 MW, installed where it is needed and for as long as the company requires this additional capacity.

Why rental?

When a major power requirement arises at short notice, purchasing and installing a permanent solution is not always the immediate answer.

Rental makes it possible to mobilize substantial power capacity quickly, without requiring the beneficiary to commit to a permanent investment before its long-term energy requirements are fully defined.

The solution can also be configured according to the application. Sometimes one generator is enough. In other situations, as in this project, the requirement calls for multiple synchronized units and a total capacity measured in megawatts.

When pressure on the power system increases, response time is no longer a detail. It becomes part of the solution.

From 10 kVA to multi-megawatt projects

The Best Tools rental fleet includes more than 100 industrial generators, with individual power ratings ranging from 10 to 1,250 kVA.

For large-scale applications, several units can be configured and synchronized to meet power requirements well beyond the capacity of a single generator.
