Three BESS units, two transformers and a single energy management platform. Best Tools Company is implementing a new energy storage solution in Răchiți, Botoșani County, for a customer operating in the poultry industry.
The project complements a 1.1 MW photovoltaic plant developed by our partner Plus Domino, adding a key component to the customer’s energy infrastructure: energy storage and intelligent management of locally generated power.
The solution developed by Best Tools Company provides a total power output of 300 kW and a storage capacity of 645 kWh, based on three Jinko SunGiga G1 systems, each rated at 100 kW / 215 kWh.

From Solar Generation to Smarter Energy Use
Generating renewable energy is only one part of the equation. For an industrial consumer, what matters just as much is how that energy can be managed and used according to the actual needs of the facility.
By integrating BESS technology into the existing infrastructure, surplus photovoltaic energy can be stored and used at a later stage, helping to increase self-consumption and make better use of the energy generated on site.
For the Răchiți project, the technical configuration was designed around the existing electrical infrastructure. Two BESS units are connected to one transformer, while the third unit is connected to a second transformer, with each area managed by its own EMS – Energy Management System.
This architecture enables individual control of the equipment and allows the operating strategy to be adapted to the specific conditions of the site.

Three BESS Systems. One Centralized Platform.
Beyond storage capacity itself, one of the key components of the project is the energy management system.
Best Tools Company is responsible for installing and configuring the EMS systems, integrating the equipment and carrying out the hardware commissioning, with a control strategy focused on three main objectives:
- increasing the self-consumption of photovoltaic energy;
- storing surplus energy generated during certain periods;
- using the available energy efficiently according to the customer’s consumption requirements.
At the next stage, the EMS systems will be integrated into a single monitoring and control platform with a VPP – Virtual Power Plant – architecture.
This will provide the operator with a centralized overview of the entire storage solution, even though the system is distributed across two separate areas of the electrical infrastructure.
